How to use
Type an expression and it is written out as a sentence, so you never have to decode five fields of asterisks and slashes by eye.
The next five run times are worked out alongside it, in your own computer’s time zone — worth remembering when the server sits somewhere else. Before you deploy, you can confirm the job runs on the schedule you meant and not far more often.
The fields, left to right, are minute, hour, day of month, month and day of week. An asterisk means every value, a slash sets a step, a comma lists values and a hyphen gives a range. So 30 9 * * 1-5 is half past nine in the morning, Monday to Friday.
The expression is not sent to a server. Everything is worked out inside your browser.
