Put one duration on each line and the total appears below, along with the count, the average and the longest and shortest entries.

Base 60 is what makes this awkward. 45 minutes plus 50 minutes is not 95 — it is 1 hour 35 — and doing a week of that in your head goes wrong often enough to be worth not doing.

Three ways of writing a duration all work, because habits differ and a list pasted from somewhere else should not need rewriting: 1:30 with a colon, 1h 30m with units, or a bare 90, which is read as minutes.

A colon with two parts means hours and minutes. Some tools read it as minutes and seconds, but for working hours and meeting lengths 1:30 means an hour and a half to almost everybody.

Totals past 24 hours stay as hours. A spreadsheet showing 40 hours as "1 day 16 hours" is the thing that sends people looking for a different calculator.

Decimal hours are given alongside, because that is what goes on an invoice or a payroll line: 1:30 is 1.5 hours.

Nothing you type is sent to a server. Everything is calculated inside your browser.
