Add a PDF, pick where the numbers go and in what format, and every page gets one. A preview shows the first and last label before anything is written.

Scanned documents and merged files arrive without numbers. Print them, drop the stack, and there is no way to put it back in order — and in a meeting nobody can say "look at page four".

Which page to start on and what number to start from are separate settings. Skipping a cover while still numbering the body from 1 is the most common request, and a single setting cannot express it.

The total counts the pages that actually get numbered. A three-page body labelled "1 / 4" looks like a page went missing.

The format is a template: {n} becomes the page number and {total} the count. That way "3 쪽", "Page 3" and "- 3 -" are all just things you type, rather than options someone had to add.

Numbers are drawn with your own system fonts and placed as images, for the same reason as the watermark tool: the fonts built into PDF libraries only cover the Latin alphabet, so "3 쪽" would fail on the 쪽.

Your file is never uploaded. The PDF is opened and rewritten inside your browser.
