Choose an image, type the text and it appears over the picture straight away. Nothing is uploaded, which matters here because the photos people watermark are usually the ones they do not want circulating.

Nine fixed positions cover the usual case of a name in a corner. The margin is measured from the shorter side of the picture, so a corner mark sits the same distance in on a wide panorama as on a square photo.

Tiling repeats the text across the whole picture. This is what you want on a proof or a draft, because a single corner mark is trivial to crop away while a tiled one cannot be removed without destroying the image.

Rotation matters more than it sounds. A tiled watermark laid flat reads as a pattern and the eye skips it; the same text at twenty or thirty degrees stays legible while being much harder to paint out.

The outline option draws a faint dark edge behind the letters. White text vanishes on a bright sky and black text vanishes in shadow, and the outline keeps it readable in both without needing a heavier colour.

The result is saved as PNG so the edges of the text stay clean. Saving a watermark as JPEG tends to leave visible speckles around the letters.
